To Gtalk or not to Gtalk
Today i came across a very frustrating experience with Gtalk. I was trying to log in to Gtalk and i received the very much unanticipated error on my desktop
“Connecting to Google Talk network has failed due to an expired
authentication certificate. The common cause of this expired
certificate is due to time differences between your computer and the
Google Talk network. Please verify your computer’s clock settings
are correct and then press Retry.”
What happened is… by mistake my system date got changed and then i cannot login to gtalk anymore…. Funny right… I guess yes.
I still couldn’t figure out why should there be any check on system date… System date errors can occur… Does that mean an application should fail…
